Quick Help

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers about Cashier, stock, offline mode, tax, team, billing, and KepoGo data security.

Getting Started

What should I set up first?

Start with business profile, branches, wallets, product types, then products. After that, create one Cashier sale and review the reports.

What is sample data for?

Sample data lets you explore the app without entering real data. When ready, remove it from Settings. Real data is not removed.

Cashier and Offline Mode

Can Cashier work without internet?

Yes, for simple single-wallet sales when products and wallets have already been cached while online. Offline split payment is not supported yet.

When do offline sales appear in reports?

Offline sales appear after the device is online again and sync succeeds. While pending, check the sync indicator in the header.

Products, Stock, and Expiry

What is the difference between product type and product label?

Product type is the main grouping, such as resale goods, prepared products, or services. Product labels are small filters per type, such as Halal, Vegan, Promo, or Chilled.

How does expiry date tracking work?

When buying stock for products with expiry tracking enabled, you can split the quantity across multiple expiry dates. Sales consume the nearest expiry batch first.

Why can cost differ per branch?

KepoGo stores branch-level average cost so stock valuation and COGS stay more accurate for multi-branch businesses.

Sales, Purchases, and Payments

When should I use Cashier versus Sales Invoice?

Use Cashier for fast transactions. Use Sales Invoice when you need customer details, due dates, picking, shipment notes, or a formal invoice document.

How do wallets affect reports?

Every incoming or outgoing payment changes the related wallet balance. Make sure wallet type matches the payment method, for example Cash to Cash wallet and Transfer to Bank.

Tax, Reports, and Accounting

Is the tax label always VAT?

No. Owners/admins can change the tax label in Settings, for example PPN, GST, or GST/PST depending on business needs.

Does KepoGo replace an accountant?

No. KepoGo helps with bookkeeping and operational reports. For tax, payroll, and official filings, verify with an accountant or professional advisor.

Team, Attendance, and Payroll

What is the difference between app users and attendance?

App users can log in according to permissions. Attendance can track employees who log in and employees without app accounts.

Can staff change their own permissions?

No. Advanced permissions should be managed only by the owner or admin.

Billing and Data Security

Are product import and product photos available on every plan?

Some features such as product import, product photos, and higher quotas may be limited to paid plans depending on billing configuration.

Where is offline data stored?

Web offline data is stored in the browser/device being used. Use trusted devices and do not share accounts.
